The Tornado Front Ends need to add the StormCellar in as a regular Tornado Back End source the same as any other with a few exceptions. BackendPriority should be low. RetentionPriority should be the highest.
As a rule, the StormCellar will not be on direct shared-spool hardware but instead will share its spools over TCP/IP. Due to its ultra-low usage profile, TCP/IP transmission is acceptable, though we do recommend Gigabit network.
